They're doing top speed runs... hence the run way and gradual acceleration. They arent at the local drag strip running 1/4s or 1/8s. This is bringing a whole new parameter of both cars performance to the table...

There have been modified GT-Rs known to be able to get 0-60mph in about 2.5 seconds, yes the 911 turbo s is quicker whilst stock, but mod the GT-R to match the price of a Turbo S, and it will be up against sometime much quicker.

If you look very close at the actual race from the roll, right before the dust really kicks up the gtr blazed past the 300c. From there on you can't tell if the 300 caught him or not.

I like that take off some rear wheel lag on take off but on a 2 gear take off it would be different that gtr have a killer launch
