There's also a document that the artist Raphael wrote when he visited Da Vinci - he said the Mona Lisa had realistic, delicate eyebrows and eyelashes. So we know for sure she did have them.

There's also a nearly identical version of the Mona Lisa in another museum. It was done by one of Leonardos students. It's better preserved than rhe mona lisa, at least in terms of colour.
The yellow look of the mona lisa is because of the aged varnish. In her counterpart the colours are much brighter and the background is better to discern because they replaced the old varnish.
This is because Mona Lisas fame is as much a curse as it is a blessing. A blessing, because she gets special attention trying to preserve her behind special glass and everything. A curse however, because they're basically too afraid to do any major restoration to her. Her counterpart however, has had several restorations, including replacing the varnish and some touch ups where colour has chipped.

That's probably because of his sfumatto technique. Thin lines such as eyebrows tend to disappear, requiring them to be added later over the dried smudged layer. At some point da Vinci just started procrastinating and never put them back on.
