When it comes to cleaning, everyone loves a shortcut, so imagine a product that mops your floors without you having to lift a finger.

The future is here, with something called a robotic mop. But are they too good to be true? Consumer Reports' expert testing reveals whether or not you can ditch that messy mop for good.

Robotic mops range from basic models that are operated by remote control, to sophisticated hybrid ones that mop and vacuum and are controlled by a remote or an app.

Robomops are designed to clean hard-surface floors like tile, vinyl, or some hardwood, but not carpet. #robot #technology

i used to have irobot floor washing robot with brush. it would use clean water and pick up dirty water. did it a little too wet but, i loved it. these new once mopping robots use same cloth for all floor. spreading dirt. even after running it 3 times in the same room after cleaning cloths i have noticed i got black lines in my engineered wooden floors. it just packed dirt in between the wood planks. same if you have tile you will get dirty grout lines.

Nothing will ever beat hands and, knees and a running tap warm water with a micro fibre rag. Bucket water, is gross.
