For extreme fishing im prefer choose FE or FD than XD because of their alumunium rotor. About the possibilty for salt water uses, its depending on the users itself, how diligently you maintenance or clean after use in salt water. About new TP XD 25 its nearly close as TP MGL thats my opinion but yeah TP XD 25 also a good reel. If shimano could combine the alumunium rotor + full aluminium body on this reel, i would said it is a real twin power extreme durable or maybe stella BB😂

I would like to know, since this is a high-end reel, how it compares to the Vanquish. Seems to me like a alu-body Vanquish with a soft round knob handle, so it should be cheaper than the Vanquish right?
