I was very fortunate, and my cholangiocarcinoma was found at Stage 1, and bile duct CA was removed. I've been 2 years cancer free..

My 77yrs old dad has hepatitis C which he contracted thru blood transfusions 40yrs ago. He had routine MRIs and they found few small spots throughout the years and he went for RFAs to burn the spots . 8 years ago they found another spot which he had it removed surgically and was properly diagnosed with intra hepatic cholangiocarcinoma . Just 2 weeks ago, dad developed jaundice and had ERCP with stent. We are still waiting for the pathology report but the doctors think is the recurrence of cancer and they already told us that surgery is not an option for my father.

Why would transplant be out of the question? Transplant should be the go to. We want our loved ones to live, not doctors to cop out.
