Two-time Olympic gold medallist Carlos Yulo gets warm welcome in the Philippines

Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo has flown home to a hero’s welcome after winning two gold medals at the Paris Olympics. Donors have pledged more than $1 million worth of cash and gifts for him including a resort house and free lunch buffets for life. (AP video shot by Joeal Calupitan).

What a sad note that NO BLOOD relatives were there to welcome Yulo and share in the celebration of his greatest victory. No matter what Mdme Cynthia and Chloe might have done or how they influenced his career they are still NOT his family. I hope Yulo realize this will forever be
a question whenever
this momentous chapter in his sports
career will be recalled.

I view him as a national disgrace. To make things clear it's his father and mother are the reason he is where he is. They should be by his side. The money he is gifted is not earned, the culture dictates, you look after your parents. His mother his father live in a hut, his father not even a new pair of shoes. He says his mother spent his money. On what? Where is her big house her fancy jewellery her big cars? It's all down hill for this man, to place money power and frame above his mother father and brothers sisters is disgusting. I admire the president and how he honours and respects his own father, such a pity this national disgrace got to shake the presidents hand.

Very wrong kakadisappoint lng n dapat ang ksma nya dyn s malacanang ung family nya ni Carlos Yulo hindi si Hetti Spaghetti... ok lng ung si mam Cynthia pero dapat isinama n dn ang coach nyang pinoy.. kc ang ambag lng nman ng gf bukod s inspirasyon n sinasabi nya ay ang malamang alam nyo n tagapaghatid ng ligaya ky golden boy..😅😂😂
