L-Vis 1990 is back! New single ‘Good Vibes’ ft. Newham’s fast-rising rapper/MC, Eklipse, follows an eight-week series of Bandcamp drops early in 2024 — compiled to form ‘RESURRECTION DUBS VOL.1’ — that signaled L-Vis’ surprise return after a six-year creative hiatus, amid plentiful success under his Dance System moniker.

‘Good Vibes’ is also the first taste of new L-Vis 1990 & Eklipse joint EP, ‘Renegade’ — toasted at a launch party at The Glove That Fits last month — which arrives in January as a primer to a host of multi-faceted projects due across 2025.

As a co-founder of Night Slugs alongside Bok Bok — one of UK dance music’s most influential and storied labels of the last 20 years — L-Vis has been responsible for numerous era-defining records, both as a producer and label head. From classics like Lil Silva’s ‘Night Skanker’, Girl Unit’s ‘Wut’, Bok Bok’s ‘Southside’ EP and Jam City’s ‘Classical Curves’ album to the club alchemy of his own 2013 EP, ‘Ballads’, L-Vis 1990 and Night Slugs emboldened a whole community of producers by drawing up a bridge between the US and the UK. It formed a pipeline that saw hyper-local sounds and cultures from both sides of the Atlantic connect for the first time; a legacy L-Vis has never underestimated.
