NCAHEC RN Refresher

Now more than ever, our state needs nurses. For a limited time, we are offering a discounted, accelerated version of our online, self-paced course for qualified applicants to address our nursing workforce needs.

This program is the same RN Refresher online course we always offer – usually designed to take up to 9 months to complete. We are offering this ambitious 3-month track for the discounted cost of $550 (a savings of $250) to help with healthcare professional shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The enrollment period for this special offer is February 1 through April 30, 2022 for new enrollments only. Participants must complete the course within three months of their enrollment date.

What will I need to complete this course?
The theory course is self-paced and online, designed to balance with other commitments. You will need a computer, email, and high-speed Internet access to complete the online theory course.

Will this renew my license in N.C.?
If you’re a registered nurse who is a legal resident of North Carolina, who has had a lapsed or inactive license from any of the 50 states for 5 or more years, and want to return to nursing in North Carolina, you must enroll in Option 1. Learn more about our program options.

What if I can’t complete the course in 3 months?
If you are unable to complete your course within that timeframe, you will need to register for the traditional RN Refresher program at full price, for an additional self-paced term of up to 9 months. No extensions will be granted under any circumstances.

How do I get started?
