Everything we learned from 2024 F1 pre-season testing

Formula 1 pre-season testing for 2024 is already over, and those three days in Bahrain mean we already know a lot more about how the season might unfold than we did a week ago.

If the analysis is correct, that Ferrari is 0.4s behind. I won't call that they are within striking distance to RedBull. 0.4s is a big gap to bridge. It's more than 20s over a race distance.

A much more comprehensive overview of all the teams compared to what I've seen by other videos. So many videos are focused on RB, Mercedes, and Ferrari that you don't get a "true" feel for the rest of the grid. This video breaks the mold on that point. Well done!

Remember how each year too much emphasis is put on testing times and at the first race much of it goes out the window. Ferrari testing pace in 2019 was a good example.

i think both haas and ferraris performance over the last years has shown that race pace is more important than quali pace
it was kinda gutting to see haas sometimes in good starting positions just knowing they have 0 chance of staying even in the points without any DNFs
them working purely on long runs is probably a good call

Got a sneaking suspicion that Aston have not played their hand over testing, they seem quietly very happy with the car, Bahrain might tell a different story to testing, or maybe I am dreaming

Red bull deserve all the achieve with how well they are performing but damn it really takes away from it all when there’s not real title fight. Still looking forward to the other top teams to fight
