Put duratec hi-gloss additive in sunshield too & if needed, duratec thinner . I use this method as a gelcoat, then my unibodies get wrapped.

Not sure what the application for this would be.

Under normal conditions the stiffer carbon fibers are bearing all of the load and the kevlar fibers are just extra weight. After a suden impact the kevlar's toughness would come into play but the carbon fibers in the region of impact would all have shattered. I'm struggling to imagine a scenario where this is preferable to just using enough of one kind of reinforcement.

Also, you have each kind of reinforcement woven in different directions; you seem have all of the carbon fibers oriented in the same direction. Is that intentional?

On impact, say on a plate of Carbon/Kevlar with a hammer(with enough force), does it shatter and potentially send pieces flying or keep it somewhat together?

Curious since theres a rule where i'm from, where carbon fiber is illegal since it sends pieces flying.
