Stock to stock these cars come really close, but the M3 is still slightly faster. Either the 335 isn't stock or the M3 needs maintenance. BMW makes M cars so they can live on for generations, it wouldn't be a smart move if the 335 was faster and a better drivers car. We can compare this with the E36 M3 and E46 330ci ZHP. Even though the ZHP is way more refined, the E36 M3 is still slightly faster and a betters drivers car.

335i tunned will kill m3 even e92 m3. If m3 has headers, ecu tune, and cams then it might be close that +65 HP for m3 but Turbo is turbo both are awesome IMO M3 sound is FKN unbeatable even if it's slower.

Turbo the M3 and it's in the super car class. Let's see the jb4 beat the m3 at the track to? It won't ever be able to. NA vs turbo of course turbo will win when it's modded. Stock 335i will lose though. So don't think ull beat at an M3 in a stock turbo 335i.
