Let us not forget the thousands of families who've lost loved ones due to over zealous officers shooting and killing them unjustifiably because they're poorly trained and over react with bullets instead of brains. Just recently, a young pregnant women, suspected of shop lifting, was needlessly shot and killed by an overreactive cop while she was clearly trying to drive away by turning the steering wheel hard right. Instead of standing to one side of the vehicle like he's supposedly trained to do, the poorly trained, hyped up cop stood in front of her car and decided to shoot and kill an unarmed person and her baby. I'd like to be compassionate here, but its' a two way street weighted much more heavily on the side of innocent people.

Jesus Christ! What is up with Palmdale? Back in the summer of 1983, fresh out of high school, I tool a summer job working minimum wage ($3.35 an hour) at Enduro Plumbing. I made the 35 mile drive every day from Mojave to Palmdale, which at the time boasted a population of 8, 000 people, most of whom worked in the aerospace industry. Much of the work I did was manual labor for new building construction in and around Division street. There was nothing there at the time, it was mostly desert as far as the eye could see. I never would have dreamed that one day I would hear about deputies being shot or some of the other crimes I have heard come out of the Antelope Valley. This really blows my mind.
