ifi NEO Stream: my thoughts

My thoughts and opinion on the ifi NEO Streamer. All opinions and thoughts are my own. This was sent out to demo by ifi audio. This one cemented in that dedicated streamers just don't fit in with how I engage with my music =) still a good device from what I could tell... just not for me.

I'm not sure what to make of your review.
I'm interested in buying this unit and I was looking around for some insightful reviews and I found this one. You seem to be about my age and when there was an issue with the unit I kept hearing you say your default answer, "It's probably my fault". That's not really helpful in a review. The issues you were having seem to line up with the reviews on Amazon. I find this to be troubling, for several reasons.
First, like you, I don't want to spend too much time fiddling around with the settings. I too want to just enjoy the music. Secondly, you mentioned that the unit would disconnect for one reason or another. Some Amazon reviewers mention this issue too.
I wish you had investigated these issues a little further in your review. This unit costs over $1000.00 dollars and I would like to know if these are firmware issues or something else. In any event thank you for the review . It's certainly given me food for thought.
