I loved the idea of reboot. I loved that show as a kid. Also the avatar the last airbender one seemed really cool. Like you could branch the starter elements into other things. Like Water bending into blood bending, healing or straight ice bending. It would be very interesting.

Love the last one about non-Asian/European settings. Middle east/Pre-Colonial America would be awesome. All the other ideas are awesome as well, of course.

Here's a couple of ideas I have for an MMO universe setting:

E.E. Knight's Age of Fire series.  For those of you who have not read the books, E.E. Knight created the Age of Fire series, or more specifically the first book Dragon Champion, as a cool way to depict a fantasy story involving the classic High Fantasy races by depicting them in a perspective of a race that's rarely gotten their perspective; namely, the Dragons.  Now, unlike some books that have done this before, dragons are not the all-powerful rulers of the world.  Rather, they are much like animals, with the exception of a subterranean empire whose glory days are long behind them whilst political intrigue and shady dealings are a constant threat.  While it would be cool to play as either one of the Dwarf Clans with their obsession for dragon hunting and the way they grow glow-in-the-dark moss and bits and pieces of precious metals in their beards, the nature-protecting Elves who are so in tune with nature that they even transform into trees when the die, a Blighter with their big hairy muscles and tribal societies, or even one of the humans and their constantly warring nations, I personally would love to play in the perspective of the stars; namely the Dragons.  With their unique biology (their fire-breathing being like a biological napalm and their need to consume precious metals in order to grow their scales) and their awesome culture and backstory, it would be a shame not to have the opportunity for a company to make a game, any game, where the sole perspective are the awesome fire-breathers that haunt our fantasies and feast upon our damsels in distress.

Jim Butcher's Codex Alera.  For those of you who have never read the books, I recommend you drop whatever book you're reading and pick up the whole series right now.  This is a high fantasy tale on the same scale in epicness as Game of Thrones, except in my personal opinion at least 10 times better.  As a fantasy-realism type of story, the Codex Alera series takes place in a high-fantasy world called Alera, which is HEAVILY Roman-Empire themed right down to the latin names and architecture.  It has a similar mechanic to Avatar's element-benders in that the Alerans have the ability to call upon elemental spirits, or Furies, to do their bidding (this being referred to as Furycrafting).  Furies are categorized based upon their elements, with the groups divided into Fire, Earth, Wood, Water, Air, and Metal, with each group being able to control not just an element but also an extension of that element's effects upon humans (for example, Firecrafting allows a user to be able to influence a person's fear or bravery, with whole armies being able to become bolstered into acts of great courage despite overwhelming odds or being crushed into a sense of absolute terror.  Another example being that Watercrafters are primarily healers, but they also have the ability to read the emotions of others, which can cause being in a crows an intense issue for many).  This can especially work in an MMO setting because every Aleran regardless of standing, nobility, or if they are free men or slaves have some degree of Furycrafting power, with the weakest having hardly any while the strongest, the Noble Famies, having control of not just one but several furies of many different kinds.  Plus, the creation of a very Roman-themed MMO would be a nice change of pace, as we don't have enough of any pre-medieval fantasy mmos that aren't Asian at all...Also, future expansions could potentially include the other races as playable, such as the Marat and the Canim (being able to ride around on my own Gargant or command a Herdbane to help me bring terror to my enemies sounds AMAZING).
