Except the fact that you are insulting her and hurting her feelings Everytime you pretend it's sour....whether or not you want to give her money and let her enjoy the food as well.

Awesome and relateable because its also from her point of view a lesson we all sometimes have to go through and just like she didnt can see the whole picture behind that kind of moments , Hashem has always his intensions and reasons for all of us we want to get it but didnt need to get it if its better to be unawere of it. Its like the CEO did it for his Fruitsellerlady.Okay, what more can we also learn from it? So maybe next time if there is a epic fail moment like that with the orange, instead of overthinking about failing we can better look at it through the glasses of Emuna and kindness thats what my beloved Rebbe always teach us bc we dont even can imagine what really goes on if something that seems bitter in life - turns in RL out sweet in the hidden world of Hashems divine kindness and that reflects in this lesson. And I think thats just beautyful.Thank you for sharing...and Mazal Tov ad 120 Meir Kay

This is a pretty messed up way of donating money. Like how is: “Hey your food sucks but here’s a dollar” a good way of giving? Also, lying about the food being bad on top of that is just psychotic.

Really weird. He makes her feel bad twice. First about the orange, than about the money. Why not just buy the organge and give it to her? Win Win

why shouldn't a merchant have the right to enjoy the product he's selling???, the scenario is absurd, we're talking about a fck orange, whether she's already tasted the fruit or not, who cares?

There is a bit of a part called Paranoia- where you believe you're doing kindness by giving an orange back by lying to her to taste her hard work; but ultimately It gives self harm to the mindset to please the customer even though everything is fine. Deception isn't kindness. I can not agree with this one.

sorry but this is an oddly contrived scenario and not something to emulate. in real life just give them extra money and don't insult
