The Loretta’s crossbow spell does more damage to him. You have to get right to the edge of the cliff at the part closest to the giant to hit him though. Also, you can finish him off right at the start of the second stage using the old Comet Azur + Cerulean Hidden Tear combination to Kamehameha him straight to hell. It kills him before he starts attacking. I hope that helps some people. 🤞🙂

Got destroyed on my first attempt. Saw this video then went back and just decided to try to fight him normally at least once and he wasn’t too bad. If you’re struggling with him and you don’t want to use this method I would suggest using the Black Knife summon and two katanas (one with bloodhounds step) and you should be able to kill him.

People are saying its patched because it is. They didnt patch the jump. They patchee the ability to shoot from outside the boss area. Arrows and whatever else you try will stick into an invisible barrier no matter where you try this from.

Alexander warrior jar makes this fight super easy, he takes zero damage from the fire giant, just melee his right leg in his first phase then use ranged on the eye in the second

I really think the devs have run out of ideas. The amount of "bosses" with attacks and combos that will 1-3 hit you depending on your stats doesn't feel like you lost a fair fight... Even many of the normal mob enemies feel like they're all designed to punish rolling, healing and shielding hard. Like I remember thinking OG Fume Knight at NG+7 strength was tough but he would blush at the over-tuned mess this game's enemies are.

If you use bone rot arrows or bolts you can proc scarlet rot and let that take out a really good chunk of his health with minimal consumable. Also thanks for the explanation of the jump. I was really struggling making it

This boss is really starting to piss me off. I finally got him to second phase and when he's almost dead, he does his flamethrower attack and two shots me out of nowhere when I still have more than half health. I can't cheese him cause for the damn life of me I can't make the jump even when I'm doing it correctly. Fromsoft really dropped the ball here. It's not even an enjoyable fight. Based purely on luck.

For me it’s actually easier to hit the barrier and use the second jump a bit late

it's easier to just fight him lol.
when you get in the arena get on torrent and charge right at him. He will either do his snow avalanche move or his charging shield slam. If he does his snow avalanche jump over it with torrent. if he does his charging shield slam keep riding straight towards him, he will miss once you get under him. Once under him get off torrent and start chopping away. A bleed weapon is ideal of course. Doge roll when necessary and avoid standing in the fire he drops after you first drop him to his knees. The first time you drop him to his knees is a good time to hit him with rotten breath if you have it to speed up the process. If not it's ok because it really isn't necessary. For phase 2 you hang out behind him chop away or if you are a magic or incantation user you can get on horseback and spam him with spells till he dies. Phase 2 is where i melted him down with rotten breath from horse back. Phase 1 is a simple close ranged fight. This boss fight is all about being aggressive.

Incase you can’t ever land the jump or are having some trouble doing decent damage here is the way I beat him :)
Incase you still haven’t beat him because I was on it for like 6 days, all I did was I used a katana but there are these videos of smithing stone bearings that you can get and you basically get infinite of all of those which means u can upgrade really easy also upgrade your spirit a lot for the fight there’s tricks for this too!!!. No matter how many times I tried I couldn’t do the jump and I couldn’t do descent damage to get anywhere near killing him so I went became a bit more op and killed him smoothly. My spirit lived through the whole fight and helped a lottt I used the sorcerer one (+10) with bloodhound katana (+9). Also go for the feet left foot specifically that one doesn’t have his metal thing on it so u will do more damage+ second stage you’ll have to hit the other foot. BRING SO MANY HEALING POTIONS I had like 12 it was insane. After I did this it ligit took 3 tries 😃.
