A resurfaced clip captures Rishi Sunak suggesting he doesn't have working-class friends.

Describing his friendships in the BBC’s 2007 documentary series Middle Classes - Their Rise and Sprawl, Mr Sunak said: "I have friends who are aristocrats, I have friends who are upper class, I have friends who are working-class...well, not working class."

On Tuesday, July 5, Mr Sunak resigned from his position in the treasury before announcing days later on July 8, that he will be making a bid to become the next Conservative party leader and prime minister.

You can tell how rich he is by the fact that he distinguishes between aristocrats and upper class.

“Not working class” as he holds back sick from even uttering those words

It’s quite an awful story, he does motivational speeches to kids from disadvantaged areas, then at the end says he went to an amazing school and that actually he’s nothing like them and they have no chance to succeed.
What on earth was the point of him basically trolling disadvantaged kids?

I'd be amazed if he had lower class friends. Or upper class friends. Or middle class friends.

Imagine defining your friends by what “class” they are

His dad's reaction to working class says it all really

This is absolutely appalling behaviour, I have heard some nonsense from this man but if he expects me to believe he has friends that’s a step too far 😂

“Well, not working class” obviously 🙄.
The look of embarrassment on his dad’s face. Priceless. 🤣

You know he's wrong for the job when he defines people by their class

Does this surprise anyone? He’s one of the wealthiest politicians we’ve ever had.

He isn't leadership material. He has no charisma, no talent, no vision. He's just someone's tool.

His dad looked a little embarrassed when Rishi Mentioned working class.

That smile was like ‘my son is joking, he does nothing of the sort’

So just to boil down everything he said: "I have different friends who are different levels of rich, from vastly wealthy to loaded making 250k+ a year . I don't have friends who are working class actually, but I do occasionally go to secondary schools and flex on the stinky stinky poor, and tell them that they can still apply to Oxford or Cambridge even if they are stinky and poor."

This is the guy we need running our country . Personality and depth of a casio 8600 calculator and the charisma of a suppository .

That's a bit Rishi. A smug-rich, smoothie -ex-banker worth £730 million, with four huge luxury homes, is really going to resonate with ordinary people at a time of extreme hardship. 'We're all in it together' doesn't really work, if you're twice as rich as the King.

is he saying he talks to children at state schools suggesting they apply to the top universities like he did and then points out that he went to winchester public school? That's what it sounded like . So basically he has had no connection with the normal person in society and gives advice about things he knows nothing about.

It would be amazing to have a prime minister who has an actual understanding of the normal working class persons life and the struggles that go with it. To feel like we can identify with them and trust them. Just this man’s pompous voice and quick correction of having ‘working class friends’ as if it’s some kind of awful thing, completely puts me off him.

Sunak - vote for me: I am a non loyal back stabber, who avoids paying taxes unless scrutinised, that will inevitably give my wife’s family special deals once I am in office! On the positive I haven’t groped anyone to date and I brush my hair.
