Behind the scenes: Endangered bird hatchling receives some TLC

One of the most endangered species on the planet is fighting for survival in Front Royal, Virginia. Eight days ago, a Guam Kingfisher chick hatched at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute. The brightly colored bird is already extinct in the wild, but scientists are working hard to bring it back.
