Hoping to pass the practical soon. Surprisingly I'm more nervous about the pre operational and shutdown questions. Haven't had any training since 2005.

In the late ' 90's I did that test with a 60ton P&H lattice boom- conventional with 80 foot of boom

in NYS we had to do this in an old crane out of level foot pedals for boom. If you let motor idle or took hand off control fail..
Timed on all tests fast or fail.

How much time do they give you on the course?

OECP test use a larger dia. test weight, why is that?

Bought my own boom truck because of bull $hit operators trying to hurt people.
The last guy almost wiped 3 men off a wall with a beam.

I learned from the ball end just how delicate being safe has to be.
