My dad's also Italian. I got him a Spyderco Spyopera, and he loves it.

I just wanted to let you know that you bring a lot of knowledge about knifes 🔪. And are teaching me and a lot of other people things about knifes I never knew..so what I am saying is I always give this show a thumbs up ...and don't know why anyone would give it thumbs down...keep up the good work 💪 👏🏼

That was an unexpected, but amazing Always Sunny reference there, sir.

A really moving video. Thanks for sharing the inspiring story of influential mentors

Great answer on the self defense question. A novice should not try to defend themselves with a knife. A good tactical flashlight is a very smart alternative.

Old ratty Pontiac’s are the best! I have a 2006 Grand Prix Gxp 5.3 V8. Driving it puts a huge smile on my face😁

I wanted to throw my two cents in on some of these questions!

For gent’s knives that can see harder use, there’s also: MKM Terzuola Clap, Fallkniven GP Gentleman’s Pocket Knife, Kansept Knives Lunquist Reverie, Benchmade North Fork.

For an easy-to-operate self defense, totally agreeing with DCA here 1, 000, 000, 000%. Without training, you’ll probably find yourself dropping your knife or getting disarmed and having it used against you instead. But, the Ka-Bar TDI Investigator Law Enforcement Fixed Blade Knife is designed for use in very tight fighting situations, and is designed to be as intuitive in use as possible.

I have really begun to enjoy your videos. Some other knife channels/retailers have changed things up or come across as a home shopping channel for knives. You guys keep it real and I genuinely enjoy it. Thanks for the great content. Also, I miss Pontiac’s too.

The Bestech Ascot might be a neat choice for the first question as well.

One beautiful aspect about the knife community is that it brings every level of enthusiast together. Anyone from the novice to the intermediary to the professional together to learn and discuss a topic that is unbiased. There are so many different knives for all sorts of chores and even self defense but as an art. During the outbreak of the covid 19 I really enjoyed this show and am grateful.

Thank you for giving the best answer for the defensive knife! Much respect.

Also, POM pepper spray is an excellent addition and they make inert cartridges so you can practice.

Great answer on the self defense question. I carry that very light. I keep it in my left hand in case I have to grab my CCW or knife with my right. I will also use the light to alert fast moving cars of my presence as they approach my location. I shine it on the ground in front of me. With the substantial feel of the light and the features it provides, I feel that this is the best first tool I would need on a night walk.

Another suggestion for Robert W. He may also like a Kershaw Bareknuckle. The Bareknuckle feels like a more expensive knife than it is.

My favorite hard use “classy” knife is my old Spyderco Endura. It’s my only all stainless steel knife, so I feel classy when I carry it!

Does anyone else use Knife Center YouTube videos and the dulcet tones of DCA as a sleep aid to drift off to sleep, dreaming of batoning, and the next new knife? 😉

Even though I don't make knives, I agree that LT Wright is a wise man to listen to when it comes to knives. Even if you're not making knives but you still want to learn about the process of knife making, he's one of the best. I also recommend Mr. Mike Stewart of Bark River Knives. He's been in the knife game almost 40 year I believe. He was either owner or part owner of blackjack knives back in the day and he spent some time with marbles until they moved manufacturing overseas then he started Bark River and that man is a library of knife and steel knowledge. I belong to the official BR group on FB and him and his family are admins and they talk to customers in the comments of the group and get and give feedback. You don't see many knife company owners talking to their customers as much as him.
