For some years I read Hancock and was intrigued by the lost ancient high technology ideas as well. I definitely was in that group and found the pyramids of Giza fascinating. During that time I wanted to hear the educated Khufu argument from an academic just to “hear that point of view”... and then I stumbled upon your video series. You knocked that sh*t out of the park. If it was a live lecture I would have stood up and clapped. In about an hour you changed my opinion 180 degrees. The Giza pyramids are even more fascinating to me now knowing more of the truth. You also cite your sources! How new and original of you! I also found out Zahi Hawass isn’t a thief and a liar but someone who wrote VOLUMES of research on Egypt. So, yeah, thanks for the enlightenment!

It's fun to be part of this channels growth and I agree with what you've said in this video. While I'm not a youtuber, I'd have to disagree with only one thing that you said. 'What our content is is very important but how we present it is equally important.' I'd have to argue that it's how your presenting the content that enables me to watch your entire video. It's youtube so there's rabbit holes for everything, with alot of creators dishing out the goods.

Ima fan of how you present your arguments with creative ways to include photographic evidence along with the written documents ina way that doesn't feel like its scripted for mainstream television like history or natgeo.

I love that the picture in the thumbnail is Bath Roman Baths. It's where Athelred was anointed King thus cementing his role as king under the Holy Roman Empire

Love the picture of Sam Sr on the bookcase in the background! That's from when he met Wee Willy. I have a digital copy.

I know you must be a busy guy between being a professor and running your channel. So I’m super impressed that you would offer to help people like this. I knew you were a great teacher because your passion for this subject, but this is above and beyond! Cheers 🍻

I think I'll try this out. Also, I know exactly what you mean when you say you get sickly nervous but excited to see all those red notes really hit home.

I only just found this channel today (gobekli tepe video) and already, I found a channel covering more obscure historical topics AND one that is doing a series on writing, a skill I one day hope to be able to live off of. Something tells me it might be a strategic idea to stick around and see what’s up in the future.

(Yes this is just a long winded and more obnoxious way to say: ay bro, nice channel, here’s a sub.)

I have a question, can you make a history channel 18+?

What if I'm not? Let's say that interest from nerds counts as 1000 per follower in comparison to any popular follower ... and that popular followers are just an annoyment.

How do you avoid misrepresenting someone else’s argument and avoid straw-manning them? Vlog that.
