Thank you for all the amazing comments. Many of you asked where I got the inspirations from. The lyrics were inspired by a fairytale story by Hans Christian Andersen called 'Under The Willow Tree'. I always wanted to write a song that's 3/4 time waltz so this is what I got :) Really happy that you enjoyed it!

14 year old me listening to this, enjoying life. 20 year old me getting sad and nostalgic because of how much life changed. :(
edit: am now 21. and guh dayum a lot has happened in the past year. I'm learning to adult. Just got my learner's permit. i took the driving test in senior high but failed once. couldn't take the 2 other chances cus i was busy not tryna unalive myself. started reading again. went for bookshoppin alone. got meself 15 books in a recycled bookstore. some are new tho. they have a very cute cat and I petted em. so soft T.T Powerlifting again. On a new program. Hope I can start competing next year. Educational break almost over for me. Got two classes starting in august 20, 2021. Workin nightshift at mcds. Drive thru. I do my best to spark conversations when I can. I rec books when i can. lovely.

update: july 9, 2024. dropped out last year and quit job. but now i'm 3 months in new cooking job. they let me do breakfast since it's simple. i'm getting the hang of it. starting to lose weight. doc said, blood test was better, keep it up. depression is still rampant, doc upped my dosage. Hope everyone is okay. Take care. :)

I came back almost after 4 year and... this hits so hard. The lyrics has its own painful meaning which I understand now more than I could ever do.
Everyone wants to be inlove all life, find his own willow, be with it whole life- with person who he loves. And then, after all these years- just die next to love of your life, together, hand in hand, thinking about every beautiful moment and with last breath sayin' "our last day".

So uhm, I woke up this morning, and for some reason this song was stuck in my head, so I looked it up and I'm kinda crying lol. I hadn't heard this song in a few years

I remember finding this song when I was in my Lps phase. That was when I was around 7. I’m now 13 and every time I listen to this song, I’m reminded of how I first introduced this song to my parents.

I was sitting on my stairs, listening to my parents talk- maybe they were arguing. I don’t remember. But, I remember that I got my iPad and searched up this song, then I started playing it, hoping that my parents would listen to it. I guess cause I wanted their story to be happy, to end happy like this one. I am almost always close to tears when I hear this song now- that will probably never change. Looking back at everything in my life makes me feel so nostalgic and I love that.

I miss when I was young. Things were a simpler time but, I’m glad that I’ve grown as well.

my friend chased scarevlelli died on july 16th, 2020. she was in a hammock accident when the brick pillar surprising the hammock collapsed onto her, and her three sisters. chasey and her sister scout luckily pushed off their younger siblings coco and cassidy, but chasey and scout didn’t make it. i miss them terribly. the reason i’m saying this is because somebody on instagram posted photos of them with this song. i wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you. thank you so dearly much.
