Enough reasons for your host Chris Cummins to go on a wine hiking trail right in the middle of Vienna's beautiful wine covered hills - to enjoy the view and taste some of the city's finest wines. He also visits a traditional wine tavern, a "Heuriger". And you will meet one of Vienna's most innovative, young wine makers: Rainer Christ.

The wine walking day is wonderful and has a great atmosphere - my wife and I have been going for 3 years now. This video doesn't mention that in addition to fresh wine, the heuriger also serve fresh grape juice (non alcoholic) and this year we also tried sturm which is grape juice that has partly fermented so that it is slightly alcoholic and is very refreshing on a warm day! We are already looking forward to our next visit next September.
