In this video, we compare the artist of Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa (Who are mostly known as the main female pop artist of the last 15 years), and we see which were the most popular over time by comparing monthly streams/views on each of their music videos, the numbers represented in the video show how many views the music video listed has had in the month listed in the video (The bottom right corner).
Miley Cyrus was the first artist to enter the chart when she started her career in 2007, she had major hits such as The Climb and 7 things but Party In The USA would end up being her biggest hit with almost 1 billion views today, she then made a come back in 2013 with 'Wrecking Ball' and 'We can't stop', on the bangers album, and more recently in 2023 with her hit single 'Flowers'. Some of her early songs such as Party in the USA weren't uploaded on her personal channel but on Hollywood records but were included as Miley Cyrus as they were made by her.
Katy Perry would start music in 2008, with hit songs such as I Kissed a girls and Hot N Cold, but she would become more popular with songs from the Teenage Dream album such as Firework and Last Friday Night which both have over 1.4 Billion views today. She would later become even more popular though with hit songs including Roar and Drake Horse which have 3.8 billion views and 3.5 billion views respectively.
Lady Gaga also started in 2008 with hit song such as Just Dance and Poker Face, in late 2009 Bad Romance came out though becoming the most viewed video on Youtube for some time in 2010, making in her most popular song. Shallow would also be another hit single of hers coming out in 2018 from 'A Star Is Born'.
Taylor Swift would start making music in 2006, and come out with popular songs like Teardrops on My guitar and You Belong with me, some of her biggest hits would be in 2014 with the 1989 album though, with songs like Shake it off and Blank Space getting 3.3 and 3.1 billion views respectively, and later she had hits such as Bad Blood, Look what you made me do and Anti-Hero.
Rihanna was the first to start making music (in 2005), with her first hit song being SOS, she then made more hit songs such as Umbrella, and Only Girl, Diamonds and Stay, her last album released was ANTI in 2016, with songs such as work and Needed Me.
Dua Lipa made music first in 2015, and came out with hits in 2017 on her first debut album, songs such as New Rules and IDGAF did very well, more recently she has done songs like Don't Start Now and Levitating.
Billie Eilish was newest to start making music, doing so in 2017. Since then though she has become very popular making big hits such as bad guy, lovely and when the party's over.
