Todd Rundgren's Utopia_The Ikon_Akron OH_11-12-2011_HD

The Ikon is from Todd's Prog-era from the 70's resurrected in this wonderful mini-tour with the MKII version of Utopia. This is almost the complete version which Todd has not performed in its entirety since the early 70's. Back in those days the band would play this tune and it would clock in sometimes over 45 minutes. Considering the complexity of this epic song Todd and band did a great job and once in a lifetime performance for me!! Also, back in the day they had two other keyboard players besides Ralph so hats off to him and Kasim Sulton and Jesse Gress for stepping in and helping to fill in the gaps!!!

This is dedicated to Moogy Klingman who was an original founding member of this version of Utopia and was supposed to be on this mini-tour but sadly lost his battle with cancer during the tour. Rest in peace and you will forever be missed and loved by many!
