Python Beginner Tutorial 9 - Introduction to Classes (Object Oriented Programming)

This tutorial covers an introduction to Object Oriented Programming in Python. After watching this video you should feel comfortable creating a basic class. This includes a constructor (__init__ function), and class methods. You should feel comfortable using parameters in a class constructor as well as class methods. Class methods should be able to access class properties using self. You should also understand that the 'self' variable needs to be passed into all methods within a class in python.

So saddened to see this channel essentially dead, I just discovered it 5 hours ago and have just watched every video in the OSP python beginner playlist, and was hoping for more instruction. I haven't found any other channels that were as insightful as this channel. I hope maybe by the end of the year we might get more, otherwise this will be a slight setback that may take a long time to get past.

Also, when I did the original rock paper scissors challenge, I made it somewhat differently from what your example shows, so some of my functionality went away when I ported everything to classes. Someone help please? The official forums look pretty dead.

Everyone who is waiting for Tutorial 10 I have bad news. I emailed the creator/the company that he created and asked if and when they plan on releasing the next video and this is the response I got, "We absolutely plan to continue the python tutorial series and expand to new languages as well. However, at this time we do not anticipate releasing new videos until early next year." :-(
There are plenty of Python tutorials on YouTube but this one stood out, sorry to see it being discontinued.

I really like this format. The one were you simply showed the program is fast and all, but this way I feel like I understand the concepts in more depth and the I feel like the rushed one can't be used for more complicated code. It was good to advance fast in that certain moment but I would prefer if explained it like in this video

(and in future maybe even do c++ -> I tryed learning c++ but it ends up like too complicated and my ex computer science teacher said the best language to learn is python and so I did search on youtube and I found you!
