Haas is being tough in contract talks because they think they are Schumacher's best chance of staying in Formula One for the 2023 season.

As concerns over Mick Schumacher's long-term future in Formula One grow, the summer is looking uncertain for him. According to reports in Germany, the son of seven-time winner Michael Schumacher may not have a driver's seat for 2023. The 23-year-old is in the second season of a two-season deal and presently competes for the Haas F1 team.
