Though a day is coming when the Lord Jesus Christ will rule and reign as King of kings, we are to imitate His life as a humble servant when He came the first time. In John 13:3-17, the apostle John gives the account of when Jesus washed the feet of the disciples after the Last Supper. Jesus was demonstrating what it means to be a humble servant, performing even a lowly job in meekness and with love. As believers, we should look for ways to 'wash the feet' of other believers and even those who have yet to say 'yes' to Jesus. Not only will it bless the recipient, it blesses the one with the 'towel and basin.' Thanks for the teaching, Dr. G.
