This animation was rather tricky to plan out, mainly because I had to determine
the details of the models and scenery and work with what tools were available.
I decided to stick with designs people would be familiar with (e.g keeping Emet-Selch's
face and hair color the same contrary to what the original story would have you believe.)

Also first time animating a bird, ever -- therefore, I tried to minimize the amount
of movement the phoenix had to make things less complicated for myself...
On top of this, some scenes will have different details to that of the actual story.
Particularly the very last scene, which should have featured a young Varis and
Emperor Solus. I assume such models of these characters are unavailable.
I also faced some difficulties extracting parts of the Garlean Palace
as well as other models. (Hence the improvisation).

Despite the countless hurdles, this was fun to work on and I am grateful to the voice actors
for lending their talent to make this experiment possible. :) I did my best to keep
the animation style similar to that of FFXIV. (Lest people wonder why it looks
different to my usual style.)

This was really well done! It's a little jarring hearing Hythlo after playing EW just because we know what he looks/sounds like now, but I understand that we didn't know that at the time this was created. The Emet was a great sound-alike, though. And seeing the Tales from the Shadows story play out is really cool! GREAT JOB!
