'Shot me!' YouTuber prank goes horribly wrong

A 21-year-old YouTuber was shot in the stomach and left fighting for his life after he claims he played a 'simple prank' on a stranger inside a Virginia mall. Tanner Cook, 21, was filming a video at the Dulles Town Center mall when a fight broke out with Alan Colie, 31, of Leesburg, Virginia. It is not clear what Cook's prank entailed, but his previous form includes pretending to vomit on an Uber driver and asking strangers to play naked Twister. Cook remained in intensive care for several days after a bullet pierced through his stomach and liver. Colie was arraigned Monday accused of aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm inside a building.

Imagine a woman being stalked for a full minute and a half and harassed the entire time at the hands of a complete stranger all the while telling the psycho to get away and leave her alone. The world would be celebrating the idiot getting shot.

Instead an innocent, hard working man (he was doing a DoorDash delivery) who felt the need to defend himself is in jail awaiting trial.

I have such a hard time having a lot of empathy for this kid. Some people also shouldn’t carry guns if they cannot control their emotions. But to blatantly go up to people in this day and age, who are struggling in just about every way financially, emotionally, mentally, and for some, physically…. To be annoying, obnoxious and over the top, making videos pranking and joking at other’s expense. It’s just a messy messy situation.
