Here's a quick summary to those in a hurry:

1. They discuss how to measure success in a person by considering multiple dimensions, rather than just one dimension such as grades or social skills.
2. The idea is to think of each dimension as a coordinate in a hypercube, and the success of a person is represented by their position in the hypervolume of the hypercube.
3. Four dimensions could be used: grades, social skills, ambition, and capacity to recover from failure.
4. The success of a person is not determined by their position on any one-dimensional scale, but by their position in the hypervolume of the four dimensions.
5. It is also suggested that this concept could be applied to choosing a mate, and that it's better to consider multiple dimensions rather than just one dimension such as looks or wealth.

As an elder millennial, one of the few advantages is having lived through the Great Recession. My advice. Reduce unnecessary expenses, increase your savings by investing in financial markets and do not sell. One thing I know for sure is that diversifying your income can help insulate you from much of the craziness going on in the world.

Neil is just teaching how to do what's called a weighted decision matrix. It's how selections are made for anything you do methodical

This is a W explanation. I’d never use it every day but it’s a hella interesting perspective on indicators of success

If it's 0 on one of the categories, everything equals 0 since this is multiplication.

Neil, that was brilliant. You keep raising the standard!

Adam put NTG on the spot when he asked that question. Neil's initial reaction and nervous laughter was *She's going to see this and I might say something that will get me in trouble" 😂

This is such a no brainer. It can solve so many choice confusion issues about anything.
1) Identify unrelated variables.
2) Give them a number from 1-10.
3) Multiply them together.
4) The highest score is the best Choice.

I think one thing that is never discussed that is of an up most importance is passion. Doing something that you enjoy. Many people have a hard time finding that. If your not passionate about something it’s hard to find motivation. Most people work for someone else’s passion and dreams.

Love this! People don't realize how important mathematics is when making any decision. Emotions are often misleading. I do things like this in every area of my life, and the results have been mind-blowing. You don't have to be an arithmetic genius or a physics PhD to benefit from mathematics

There are less mistakes and regrets in life when one embraces Dr. Tyson's critical thinking method.
