This is a short video that shows the process for replacing Homepatrol series SD CARDS.

Please Note, the BCD536HP & SDS200 have the same SD Card slot, 1:13 can be used as a reference for the SDS200.

Here at Bearcat warehouse, we offer two methods of programming. You can send the scanner in for programming (Mail-in) or you can purchase a programmed SD CARD if you have a compatible radio.

Thanks Paul. I'm late to this party by a few years I think but I want to tell you that these short videos are so informative. I can't wait for my SDS 200 and I got a jump start studying about it and what to expect, how to get the most out of it. The downloaded manual is pretty deep and confusing but your videos explain it so much better. I ordered the 32 GB card and I highly doubt I needed one that big but I figured better too much than to eventually need more space. I'm going to set this up to run in my car, garage and house. There's not much room in a Jeep Renegade to install a radio so I might 3M emblem tape the bracket to the dash. The scanner won't be left in the car outside overnight anyway. Thanks for making this whole deal a great and a fun buying experience. You really appreciate your customers and it shows. I'm sure that I speak for many people when I say thank you

That was great. I sure wish I'd seen this before I broke my BCD436HP microSD card slot and had to send it in for repair.

Now if only Uniden would support Chromebooks and Linux. The Sentinel software works fine except it won't detect a mounted SD card. Small fix, or allow the user to "browse" to it, and it would be 100% Chromebook and linux compatible.

The world is no longer "mac and pc" (apple and microsoft). It's chromebooks and linux (even on PCs, just no Windows) and Macs/iPads, etc. These all run some form of linux or openbsd unix. A small software change - perhaps under an "advanced" menu option, would allow working with the Uniden products using Sentinel.

The subject states SDS200 yet there is no mention of the SDS200 in the video.

Am I understanding that if the radio is on (SDS 200) and there is a power outage the SD card will be corrupted? If the power goes out while listening I will need all new programming?

What's the secret to reinstalling the sd card in the Uniden BT885?

For the Homepatrol what is the format procedure for the SD card?

Is the correct procedure for making a back-up micro-SD card to swap out the cards while the unit is ON, and then power down the unit? When the unit is OFF, the copy will have been created and the cards can again be exchanged before turning the rdio on again?

I'm getting an SDS-100 shortly. Can I replace the 1 gig card that comes with it for a 32 gig card before I program it for the first time with Sentinel, or do I have to have the 32 gig card pre-programmed by Uniden first? Thanks in advance.

There's some folks in my county that you'd have to explain that 5 times. I knew to turn it off before that.

You didn't show what menu selections you have to go to to change the bcd536 over to the chip. 🤷‍♂️
