Argh, I have a love-hate relationship with this stage; It's like an abusive relationship.
The first room is extremely annoying. The timing has to be near perfect to make it to the door without getting hit. I have to let go of the run button so that I'm able to properly mash the jump button. This screwed me up in the next room, because I instinctively let go of the button, kicking my item away.
Both the first and second room give the player very little running room and, in the second room, this means almost getting hit by spikes.
In the fortress section, quickly gliding down the difficult to traverse path of Grinders before the Bob-omb blows up is a pain as well. I just abuse mercy invincibility and hope I make it because failing that means having to glide down there again except without getting hit because I lack the helmet.
