The Prince of Monaco basically owns the whole city and every citizen of Monaco is basically a millionaire or a billionaire .... so the House of Grimaldi isn’t going anywhere! The methodology used here is inherently flawed.

I really don’t think the British monarchy will be going anywhere anytime soon, despite all the controversies and scandals. But if the monarchy does fall, I hope it’s nothing like the Romanovs or the Bourbons.

Monaco won’t abolish Monarchy, they have no reason to as they want to remain independent to have no taxes. If there is no monarch, it goes back to France.

Australians may not love the Queen, but they do love a public holiday and they won't want to lose the Queen's birthday as a day to get drunk.

I disagree about the UK. I’ve lived in Australia, England, and Scotland. In Australia we are pretty apathetic. Brits on the other hand love to complain but they don’t actually hate the monarchy enough to ever actually change.

I think it would be cool if you did a series where you look at monarchy's and royal houses who lost power, but could come back and who would be the king or queen of those monarchs.

The Principality of Monaco isn’t going anywhere, Prince Albert is absolutely loved by everyone in Monaco and he is quite modern and often can be seen on the streets just hanging with people. And anyways no one in Monaco is going to give up all the privileges they have because of the Prince, no taxes, cleanliness, a country not in debt, thriving economy etc.

I dont think Liechtenstein will get rid of their monarchy, I went to Liechtenstein and saw that they're really popular and the current Prince is nice

also, Elizabeth isn't sovereign over all the Commonwealth of Nations members, only the Commonwealth realms, which are only 16 countries. The remainder of the 54 have their own heads of state and government.

18:50 I don’t know where you got your information from but Brexit has had no impact on how the monarchy in viewed in Britain at all. In the most recent polling done it shows that 75% of British people support the monarchy (exc don’t knows.) There is far more resentment in British society towards their own elected politicians than the monarchy, so becoming a republic is off the table. I think you’ve been reading the Guardian a bit too much, which isn’t an accurate portrayal of what the majority of British people think.

3:33 that subscriber is actually wrong. The Japanese Yamato Dynasty is the longest reigning dynasty in the world.

"Working and paying taxes"... Hun, the reason why there are so many rich people in Monaco is precisely because they don't have taxes!

The Grimaldis of Monaco have owned the place for over 700yrs now. They’re not going anywhere.

One thing you (and many others) are forgetting to put into the equation is the cost of a presidency - which is not lower than that of most modern constitutional monarchies. In addition, constitutional monarchs have been trained all their lives for their roles and fulfill them not for personal gain (like some millionaire politicians do or did), but out of a sense of duty and tradition for their nation.

The Belgian king is the only one maintaining stability. You failed to mention that Belgium was without a government for over a year, and the King was forced to step in. He proved himself as an able negotiator, bringing the stalemate to a close and appointing a new coalition. During the time without a government, the King aptly appointed technocrats to oversee the day to day rule, and his handling of the day to day governance and the tricky constitutional situation won him praise from even the most anti monarchists. DO YOUR HOMEWORK

Not to not pick, but it’s one that often gets misconstrued: the Queen is only head of state of 15 Commonwealth countries (16 before Barbados changes), the Commonwealth realms not all 54. In fact i think there is even some of the other 39 countries with their own royal families.

As a Brit, I can't see the Windsors going anywhere. The Queen is adored, Charles's popularity has grown in recent years and William and Catherine are very well liked. And the money they bring in far outways their cost. I like your videos, but I think you were exaggerating with the problems they face. Calls for a republic are quite low!

I do not think that either of the mentioned monarchies will get overthrown because the popularity for each of the monarchical institutions is quite high and the monarchies of the mentioned countries will get more favorable with the people only if greater amount of reforms are done to refine the monarchies from all negative remarks and corruption.
