This is BAD NEWS For Chevy Silverado Owners!
-----------------------------
Chevy owners and fans need to know this. The Silverado just got a recent update, and it is causing a massive uproar.
Because the new updates actually don’t fix a lot of issues that have been frustrating owners. To be honest, it feels like they are just wrapping a bandage around the issue instead of solving it. Let me explain.

Do you have a Chevy or would you ever buy one?🤔

I have a 2024 with 23, 000 miles and haven't had any of these issues. I typically average 20 mpg over a tank of fuel. I have gotten on the odd occasion 26 mpg and never gotten lower that 18 mpg. Transmission has been smooth. No paint issues no leaks or oil consumption issues. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Frankly anyone can do videos like this and highlight negatives on any brand. Buy what you like Ford Chevy Dodge all make great trucks. Buy your favorite.

I have a 2024 Custom Trail Boss with 5.3 V8 and I get an average of 19 mpg combined city/highway mileage. I also like its look, ride, and handling. I now have about 10, 500 miles on the truck and so far no problems.

He said that Ram’s Hemi V8 is pulling better MPG numbers than Chevy. Interesting that he showed a Ram TRX that gets absolutely horrible fuel economy at the same time he said that statement.

My 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 V8 5.3l gets 20mpg at 75mph and 23mpg at 55- 65mph speeds. It has 224, 000 miles and doesnt Leak or burn oil.

Gm needs to drop the DFM and build normal engines again

GM has a naturally aspirated V8 that is much less prone to reliability problems than a Supercharger or turbo engines. For me it would be a no brainer naturally aspirated engines are superior in my book.

Retirees can not get in and out of pickups anymore! Knee replacements, hip surgery, same day surgery, etc! We have been a 2 truck family for over 50 years and we love our trucks! The new ones are absolutely crazy impractical. You always had the option to jack them up and make them 4 wheel drive. We have been married over 50 years and we still enjoy what we call tailgate picnics....if you could only sit on the tailgate without a step stool! Most work trucks don't need all the electronics for normal use and they should be optional equipment. We used to trade every 2 years but we now have trucks going on 20 years old. We are looking at this time for one new truck.its not going to happen....crazy prices, poor quality and they are painfully uncomfortable. You have let us down!

I have a 2011 Silverado with 371.658 miles and not bragging but I do normal maintenance and never had any issues. Tires, battery, alternator, brakes, fuel filter is the only thing I’ve had to it

Need to stop putting so much electronics on these trucks. Go back to the 90's type trucks. Just basic stuff. Way over priced. My 98 1500 siverado will out pull my 2017. Both are four wheel drive.

I have two Silverado Z71 LTZ’s a year apart. One averages 18 mpg in town and 22.3 mpg on highway. The newer one gets 18.9 in city and 23 on the highway. I think your video is a hit piece.

Had a 89 chey step side with a V8, I averaged 21 mpg on trips, why are we still averaging 21 mpg in 24 with a V8.

I bought a 2500HD 4WD 6.0 gas Silverado new in 2002. Talking to the salesman, I asked him what kind of MPG it got. He stopped walking, turned around and told me "son, people who buy these kinds of trucks don't ask about MPG" Still got that truck. It has 271, 000 miles on it, and I haven't checked my MPG once.

He is right these trucks ride smooth as silk which is why I love my 24 Sierra w/ mini duramax. I've always test ridden ford and dodge trucks but always went with gm. Dodge and Ford have always been underwhelming to drive. Fords always seem too "tinny" and cheap. Spotty quality, my neighbors ford truck saw the dealer every 2 months because he would come home with a loaner. Mine never went the dealership. My '18 Denali burned ZERO oil after every 7, 500 miles, 6.2L too, I disabled my AFM so I don't have any more lifter issues. That was a problem but no longer! GM took the AFM starting 2022 engines, the problem just went away forever. And the torque converter issues were only on the 6 and 8 speed transmissions, The new 10 speed replaces those.

It’s not about the fuel mileage. It’s about that darn Chevy DFM issue.
