I grew up watching the Brady bunch in the 70s. I am 54 years old now and still watch a couple of times a week. I sure do miss those times from the 70s it was a whole different world back then.

I watched Brady Bunch when I was a teen myself. The show got me thru a difficult family life that was nothing like the Brady's. I remember wishing I had a family like this that loved & supported one another. People can make fun of this show but they will never know how much they helped me.

I'm 60 old.. oh how I remember the innocent and wonder that existed in the 70's. The Brady Bunch was a favorite of my sisters and I.

"You think you can do that? I'm not a little girl, you know". Wow, that's a great line by Mike Brady. Loved this show as a kid.

"Marcia Marcia Marcia" has to be the most famous line of the series.

In the mid-1970s my parents split up when i was young. About 5-6 years old. Mother retained custody of us kids. After the split, she turned into this psychotic, abusive monster. I turned towards watching LOTS of tv as a way of providing myself with escape and comfort from my misery.

Out of the many, many tv shows i watched in daily syndicated reruns, the Brady Bunch was (and still is) my number one favorite tv show. The Brady Bunch tv show more than just entertained me. It helped me to preserve what few shreds of sanity I had plus provided me with much needed happiness, laughter, and joy in an otherwise joyless existence.

More than once my mother said to my face, "I wish you were never born." Can anyone see Carol Brady saying THAT to any of her 6 kids? Much less multiple times?

The Brady family i saw on tv is the family i wished i had. Nice, normal, loving, no abuse, etc. My desire to belong to the Brady Bunch family was so intense, that on more than one occasion, while I slept, I actually dreamed that I was a Brady family member. They are easily the fondest, most happiest dreams I ever had in my lifetime.

Dont get me wrong. I had no illusions. I was well aware that the brady bunch wasnt a real life family. Just a bunch of actors playing a part. But at the same time i just knew that the fictional brady family was much more closer to how a real family was supposed to behave. And much, much more closer to happy, loving, and above all, NORMAL than my real life family, home, and circumstances.

I swear, if I ever get rich, I'm building for myself an EXACT replica of the Brady Bunch home.

Mom always said don't play ball in the house ! That was one quiet dinner watching to see if the vase would leak ! lol

I am glad that Gene Hackman didn't get this role. He would have been relegated to television and it would have killed his film career. We wouldn't have all those great films. Instead it was Robert Reed who may have had a film career if he wasn't immediately recognized as Mike Brady.

The pastor of the church I grew up in was a widower with 3 sons. He married a widow with 3 daughters. A real life Brady Bunch. 1980s

Marcia was always stunningly beautiful that most boys of teenage years enjoyed the optics of. But Jan she truly blossomed into a very beautiful teenage girl.

Thanks for saying “or maybe you DO know them”. Hate when some YouTuber tells me what it is that I don’t know.

Weird indeed. The original choice for Jan would have been taller than
Marcia... I'd like to think the original Jan would have been haughty and
darker than the other Brady kids... That Jan would have torched Marcia's
precious trophies rather than hide them LOL!

Great video, keep them coming!

I grew up watching them as well, but I hope everyone understands that we were still watching reruns back then. It aired 1969 - 1974 so unless you were born before 1964, you probably weren't watching the original series. Even that is pushing it for the first couple years.

Even if Maureen McCormick had somehow not flubbed her audition for 1981’s “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and had gotten the Marion Ravenwood role instead of Karen Allen, would enough time have passed from her Brady Bunch days for audiences to not have seen “Marcia Brady” alongside Indiana Jones? 😮
