Jurassic Park (1993) Review

Jurassic World Dominion will mar the end of the Jurassic Park franchise so I figured I'd go back and review every Jurassic Park Movie leading to Jurassic World 3. The movie that started it all, and would begin my obsession with dinosaurs during the 90’s.

This movie is a classic! In my opinion all of the films are enjoyable in their own way. Many don’t like 3 but I think it’s really good. Fallen Kingdom is probably the most disappointing one but it isn’t bad

I am brought to tears every time I watch any scene in this movie. “Welcome to Jurassic Park” is one of the greatest lines ever!

Also can I say how much I love Wayne Knight in this movie, I know he’s one of the antagonists in the film but he’s freaking hilarious, he’s been one of my favorite actors in the 90’s thanks to his appearance in Jurassic Park and Space Jam. He’s also a pretty solid voice actor, which btw he’s also the voice of Evil Emperor Zurg in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.

Fun fact: during the early production stages of Jurassic Park, it was originally going to be directed by Tim Burton and the dinosaurs were going to be stop motion with some early animation with the T. Rex and the Velociraptors before they switched to Steven Spielberg and went to using CGI.

Hey, Chris! You just made my day with this! I was 4 years old when I saw Jurassic Park in theaters and I still remember looking up at the big screen during the T. rex breakout scene! Some experiences stay with you forever. People are often shocked when I tell them, because they think 4 is too young for this movie.

I’m honestly really curious to hear your thoughts on The Lost World. A lot of people were disappointed by that movie, but, I personally find it to be my favorite of the sequels by far.

There has never been another movie experience that impacted me the way Jurassic Park did seeing it the first time at seventeen. I saw it three times the same day it released and over a hundred times more since. It's by no means a perfect movie (Raiders of the Lost Ark takes that title), but it's the only film that has evoked a true sense of awe.

Awesome! Unexpected franchise movie recap/review, but makes sense cuz of JW: Dominion. I enjoyed the 3D Saul Goodman inclusion, funny as hell. Great video! P. S. 11/10 on that costume choice.

This was my very first theater experience and it has stuck with me my entire life. My sister took me on opening night and I asked her to take me again the next night. This film is responsible for my love of movies. One thing I found really awesome is that the original debuted on June 11, 1993 and without realizing it until this morning, my ticket for Dominion is dated for June 11, 2022. 29 years later, I’m right back where it all began. I love it. It’s come full circle. Although, I am sad that it’s all coming to an end for this franchise, it’s been one hell of a fun ride.

Thanks for reviewing these films, and all the other franchises you go through. I know it isn’t easy, but we all appreciate your hard work, Chris. You, Jeremy Jahns, and The Reel Rejects are my favorite film channels and I hope you all continue to have great success. Keep it up, Chucky Boi! 🤘🏽
