Locals pronounce it "Rull-er-ford" 😁
I grew up about 2 miles from that cabin, in Kenton, TN. The cabin is in Gibson County, close to Obion County.

There is a Crockett County, further South, towards Memphis/Shelby County.

There's also an Alamo, TN, located in Crockett County.

What's all farmland now was Forrested and filled with Vegetation.

When Davy moved there, it was populated with several Tribes of Native Americans.

I've little doubt he hunted my family's land and particularly down the creek, running East/West, and that is just about a half mile North of his Cabin.

My Mother found countless arrowheads and other artifacts along the creek and in our fields.

Knowing he took advantage of that young girl, but women were always the ones considered "deflowered/ruined", regardless of the circumstances, women were so devalued in that Strictly Patriarchal Era, (and the Thinking fully from the "Lower Mind, aka Ego Mind, aka Adolescent Mind"), so limited in education, experiences, in potentials, and so heavy in Fundamentalism Ideologies and Dogmas, fear based, negative learned perspectives.

It would lack Empathy to Judge them, and Judging is fully of the "Lower Mind", as well.

It is with Discernment that we consider these deep country and backwood lifestyles of the present or past.

To be other than White, Anglo, Saxon, Protestant, and Male, was to experience some variety and measure of Prejudice.

Many still hold this perspective or a variable of similar to it.

It is our "Higher Mind, aka Mature Mind, aka Adult Mind" where we gain a mature and balanced measure of Thoughts and Beliefs.

I was a kid when I went there twice with my grandparents and once on a school trip, second grade I think. This cabin got a lot bigger since then. When I went there was one door, you could look in but couldn't go inside. It was a really small one room cabin and the bear skin was on the floor. Just saying.😊
