Why float when your trying to save time? Please let me know controversy if I'm wrong. Happy to take your thoughts on

The sponge float is great for tight spots where ur restricted in arm movements and being able get trowel in to certain areas stopping u from flattening in the float works well there I’ve found u don’t need to b able to b studying what ur doing as such the float will do it for u just with the up and down movement then flatten it in with ur trowel

You shouldn't need to do all that. Simply sit on the couch watching someone else do it while the materials sit on the floor impeding traffic through the house. Six months later, empty the bank account hiring someone else to do it even though you could have done it yourself.

Not trying to be funny, but you ain't supposed to let multi finish dry and wet it via sponge float. It ends up being weaker, British gypsum don't cover you for any defects either because you didn't apply it properly. 2 coats minimum or 3 if your really trying hard.
