Behringer have recently announced the JT-4000M Micro, a portable 4 voice hybrid synthesizer with 2 analogue modelling oscillators and an analogue filter. Now with a midi input, Behringer have addressed the main criticism of the original JT-4000 Micro.

I bought the original JT-4000 on a whim and I was really pleased with it. I run a lot of music workshops with children and young adults and this hugely affordable little beast is a brilliant way to learn about synthesis. It’s so versatile for its size and price tag and the kids I work with love it.

I’ve ordered the JT-4000m so I can use it for gigs with my Arturia Keylab.

Great news. How can you complain at 50 pounds? I have the 1st gen and it sounds great, though I have unsuccessfully tried to find a combo midi+ power cable. Love it.

Im pretty excited about this. Lack of midi input on the jt-4000 made it pretty much useless (to me at least). Cant wait to try out the MIDI Goblin on the jt-4000m

Can you modulate the cutoff and resonance with the LFO on this little synth?
Can CC modulate them?

Too late, too expensive, too little improvement. Better saving this money or investing on a Volca or Aira. At least those can be purchased immediately at a reasonable price and are real quality, not like Behringer 2nd quality cheapos. As an example think at those loose joystics on the Pro Vs Mini. Lack of development, production and/or QC. Or remember Grind which is a magnificent, but non existent product. This is how I see Behringer products and brand.
