What I love about you is how you can tell how much you love life for the experience than for anything that you could hold in your hand including food. Example you were so excited talking about your journey to obtain a food or stumbling upon something. Then you taste it and are like. Okay. Let’s move on. With the exception of the apple pie but I think that’s bc it was your first time having that so you explained it like you were forming a memory. So cool

Pro tip when you are on a budget. Go to an Albert Heijn store. Its the largest supermarket chain in the country and youll find everything there for cheap. I mean, locals have to eat too and thats where they do their groceries. This is also a great place to get your authentic Dutch cheese. Dutch love their cheese and obviously they are just going to get it at the supermarket. Most have a great variety and a lot cheeper than the tourist oriented specialty shops in the centre. At train stations they often have a "To Go" variety of the Albert Heijnstore with an offering more ready-made for traveling but itsa bit more expensive, but still great if you quickly need a sandwich or a drink.

So nice you are doing the same in reverse…discovering new destinations…Glad to see you have experienced Amsterdam the way you do. Actually the reason the buildings are so narrow was because of the reason in the 17th century the merchants had to pay taxes according to the width of the houses so this is why they have built these houses as narrow as possible.

Visit: Van Gogh Museum, Rijk Museum, Wallen at night, Vollendam, Flea Market, Royal Pallace, Monnickendam, etc.
More to-dos: smoke weed, eat at one of the Rijstafels, eat chinese food e.g. at oriental city, take the canal tour, etc.
