I feel this is going on with big video game companies like EA, Activision-Blizzard, and Bethesda. Sales and marketing are running those companies away from what gamers want, and more of what investors want.

What Steve Jobs said sounds like Apple today

Real sad that Steve Jobs is essentially describing what happened to Apple after his death

Kind of funny, how he unknowingly predicted the future of his own company.

This is INCREDIBLY accurate to the modern games industry, most modern game companies are run by the people who don't want games to be good, but to be marketable

Steve Jobs, the person who emphasized marketing while his co-founder Wozniak focused on innovation at Apple, made this.

Ironic, he could stop other companies going down this route, but not his own.

yep, a company run by sales and marketing is definitely the beginning of its death. I've experienced it.

They're too big to take risks, so they're too big to succeed.

Planned obsolescence is the most disgusting business practice that should be illegal. So purposely wasteful on everyone's resources, except the profits.

When money gets mixed up with creativity, it becomes a rut, a choir, a job.
Creativity has to be free spirited, without any pressure of delivery on a certain date.

it just amazes me, that every one talks about how steve jobs made apple but no one talks about steve wozniak, it was he who made the first computers for apple and when investors saw those computers, then they were interested in investing in apple. wozniak was the creator, jobs was the manager, and thats how it has always been, steve jobs has always been a genius by using other peoples work. his skills are that of a con man not a computer hardware creator. he, jobs, also forgets he was thrown out of his own company, and that it was for very bad behavior to his staff, not managers wanting to muscle out creators. the company would not have existed without steve wozniak too.

Steve might not have been a nice person.
But his vision is undeniable.
It was a great loss to the world to lose him at this early an age.
RIP mr. Jobs.

When Steve Jobs died, so did Apple. I respected the company under his leadership, but now I don't.

I love how they showed all of Apples innovations at the end, with it being countless innovations while he was alive when true engineers built the products vs only a handful of innovations after he died and when business people took over.
