I am white lady from the US, living in Mexico in my 50's. It always makes me laugh when I go into a restaurant and order something and they say "don't worry, ma'am, it's not too spicy" and I say in fluent Spanish, "Oh, then can I have some habaneros on the side? Or some ghost pepper sauce?". Lol.

I can’t handle spice AT ALL not even Takis, so whenever my friends are eating something spicy or offering it around, I usually just say that I’m not hungry or maybe later, it usually works 👍
