I lived in a modest condo just off the Bangna-Trat road a little over 20 years ago. I chose to live there because it was close to my workplace, which was in the tower above the Central shopping centre. I am STUNNED by all this development in the area. The best I could say for it at the time was that I could walk to work and it was a convenient jumping off point for trips to Pattaya and the eastern seaboard. Getting to downtown BKK was a nightmare. That was partly because the BTS in those days stopped at On Nut. I assume it's much easier now that the line has been extended into Samut Prakan. The other part was that Bangna-Trat road turned into a parking lot at rush hour. Another problem of the area which hopefully has been solved was frequent power outages. They didn't last long, but they were annoying. I actually moved to a lower floor to mitigate the unreliability of the elevator.

Love all your videos! Very informative. I’ve been waiting invest into business in Thailand but the country is so corrupted with how the police asking for under table money from some type of businesses. Can the Thai police force foreign real estate owners pay under table money like they do with bars, and restaurants?

I lived for Thailand for almost 2 years, and seen the Thai police shutting down clubs, bars and restaurants asking for money from the owner... kind of scary.

22:44 That's "66 Tower" under construction there. But the "unobstructed" view behind it is said to become True Digital Park Phase 3 with one humongous building (codenamed "RB Project"). So on the plus side there will be more shopping as well. ;-)

Nice info but only prob I see is that the condos in Thai actually depreciate in value vs appreciate. Additionally the buildings aren’t that well kept some are but most aren’t. Additionally, with regard to newer buildings once they aren’t the new prettiest girl in the dance people move onto the next best thing leaving less interest in the older buildings as the years pass. Also the condo inventory glut is insane in Bkk so I can’t see price appreciation anytime soon. Best to just use the rent yield if anyone is buying and hopefully they can rent it out. But either way nice video
