I recently bought the new version of the bitfunx and i was very happy with its picture quality considering its only a 480p signal. I just ran it directly into my my TV. I can't quite justify the £80 for an mclassic adapter, if it was half that id get one. I only briefly tested out my bitfunx during the process of modding my wii and checking it all works before being packed away from my kids for Christmas. Thanks for the video and i am definitely reassured i made the right choice with my purchase 👍

4:00 Actually, 16:9 isn't getting squished. It's being returned to the game's native resolution: 4:3. When you select 16:9 in Wii settings, all it does is stretch out the 4:3. Some game developers accounted for this, while others did not.

I was thinking of buying the hdmi mod from aliexpress for mine... But I realized the best wii hdmi adapter is the wii u lol

You lose native gamecube backwards compatibility, but you can mod it back in. And with USB loader gx deflicker and frame buffer settings, wii and GameCube look absolutely fantastic

even tho im a fan of the 16:9 aspect myself, i would recommend you to use the 4:3 one since its how the wii (and most of the games) are designed, which leads into the 16:9 just being stretched and decreasing the quality

So you use three adapters all together to get the highest resolution at the end? Why can't there just be one adapter that does that to reduce costs?

I pre-ordered the new bitfunx from your link yesterday, since apparently it says available "mid-february", the payment worked but when I go back on the website it says "Sorry, "Wii HDMI Solution ( New Version ) Pre Order" is not in stock. Please edit your basket and try again. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.", plus I did not receive any confirmation via mail or anything that would give me information on the situation, does it means that I paid and I will receive it when it'll be available or did it not work at all ?

Them hyperkin cables are annoying. They squish your picture. And the PS2 one has the picture of center and crops your image.
