I FOUND the BEST Logic Pro X Amp Model.

After what feels like months of searching, i've found the best logic pro x amp model. So, I thought i'd make this video to save you all countless hours of aimless tweaking and frustration!

Logic Pro X is my DAW of choice and with modelling software being increasingly popular due to the demand for at-home recording solutions and being able to play guitar silently, it's often a costly thing to get into. I was convinced that there had to be a free solution inside Logic Pro X and thankfully there is!

Like a lot of guitarists, I love using pedals so I typically look for amps with a great clean tone that takes pedals well. That's always been difficulty with the Logic Pro X amp models - a lot of them HATE overdrive/distortion pedals.

So, if like me, you're looking for a good blank canvas to experiment with in terms of pedals and tones then the Boutique Retro Clean amp model will be the one for you.

In this video I take this stock amp model, and using the plugins available free of charge in Logic, show you how to make it even better and really get the most out of it.

Good advice re using main EQ vs amp-EQ. I also find keeping amp-gain low lets me blend in a bit of the amp without it taking over. I like to use Logic's Distortion in a parallel track.

Watched this on my lunch break for some tips with Logic. Came for the tips, stayed for the playing. When you introduced the Wampler, the tones were superb.

Thank you Chris. I have been looking at amp sim pedals and plugins that would sound like my '71 Fender Silverface Pro Reverb and this captures that sound.

The trick for me is to use my Taurus Servo & EP Boost. Was using the AC15, but with the Servo on, I’ve been getting a great sound from the Orange and the Mini Black Fender. Gonna have to try the Boutique out.

If I had to pick any pedal in the world for recording it would be the Servo (now Servo 2). I barely have to touch my guitars post production. Tumnus is great as well.

I’m genuinely curious, why is everyone hating on the Logic stock amps? I’m not saying it’s groundbreaking but I certainly wouldn’t call them bad?
I don’t wanna just defend the thing here, I am genuinely curious to hear what you guys have against them? In what regards do they underperform?
Ps: I’m more of a clean tone guy, never really go higher than a light crunch, except for leads. Maybe that’s why?

I'm sorry but those tones sound really thin and plastic like. I'm a huuuuge Logic user but I just have to say their amp sims are simply awful. Apple really needs to catch up to 2025 with their amps and pedals effects.
