Sony ZV1 in 2022 - Best Budget Vlogging Camera?

I spent some time with the Sony ZV1 and discovered that it might just be the best budget vlogging camera on the market in 2022.

Mark - Love the channel. I've binge watched nearly every video and you've sold me on trying to track down an EV-Z 10. I was shocked when I went to subscribe as I had assumed you were a 100, 000+ sub channel due to the quality. I saw you've been posting for about a year. It's only a matter of time before you blow up. You doing everything right with your quality, length of video, hook, end screen, engagement, thumbnails. Wasn't sure about your humor the first time I watched you, but it's your best quality. Love the apple juice. Love little Dougy. And I love the camera comparisons. You are the only channel I hear talking Catalyst Browse. The only reviewer not freaking out over rolling shutter. Thank you sir. I’m glad your opinion about ZV1’s practicality. Its size always makes want to shoot more, which every video i shot i will learn one or two new things. I don’t argue of its video quality. But Sony has given me a camera that makes me want to video more while learning the camera’s craft on faster pace.
I guess i will need to upgrade my camera. Well not now, maybe two or three years to come until i have gained more knowledge and understand a lot of things in video making.

I got this camera recently as a pocket sized holiday option and B cam to my A7IV. I haven't touched my A7IV outside the studio since getting this little gem. Your videos always make me laugh and I find them extremely informative. Thank you and keep going!

Again, a great video! I have the RX100VII largely for taking hiking and enjoy the functionality. I keep deciding to also buy the ZV1, but talking myself out of it....and then this video! It thought it performed well in the studio. Yes, not quite the EV10 but most would not notice unless you mention.

Great video! If you’re doing more zv1 videos maybe one with your recommended settings for different situations/lightings to get out of auto mode comparing them like you did in this one auto vs hlg3

This camera is an awesome light weight option! I have the rx100 vii so I never made the switch to the zv1, if they just could have made the built in lens a little wider!?!

Loving your videos. I've had the ZV-1 for a couple months now and put out a couple videos recorded with it. I'm still completely new to video production and changing settings before recording. Always looking to make the most of what I have so I think I'm gunna try using picture profiles next based on your video, as I continue to record! This camera is easier to take into places that normally don't allow cameras so for me I really wanted a ZV-E10 but not sure how often I won't be able to take it certain places...debating everyday since I've saved to get a lense as well. Keep up the amazing reviews!!

I have this cam and you helped me realize how good it can look. Bought it last year after dipping my toes into Sony cams coming from gh5). Could have bought a Sony a7r2 - but didn't wanna go fullframe back then. So the zv1 was a cheap option to get perfect autofocus, the one function every gh5 owner would kill for ;)
Now this winter I upgraded to Sony a7c and a few nice lenses anyway. Fullframe and so small (that it can be smaller than my mft setup).
But i will definitely use my Sony zv1 more now.
Oh, check out gyroflow - an open source option to stabilize video based on gyro data. Very powerful and free, lots of additional options!

I bought it and sold it, but I was in love of it. Sold it because i used it very little I also own the zve10 so I keep the zve10, but totally recomend it. Great review and I first time I see how stable is on catalyst WOW 👏
