BMW F800GS Adventure 2013 Demo Ride

Test ride of the new 2013 F800GS Adventure.

Not the best footage, sorry!
The main camera was angled incorrectly and began to fog up as the ride progressed, hence it's just a short upload.

The GSA feels and handles just like my 2011 F800, the only noticeable differences were the return of the traditional left bar indicator controls, the battery compartment feels slightly wider between your legs and the bike is a lot heavier to push when "walking" it.

Unlike the new 1200, altering the ESA modes appeared to make no recogniseable difference to the feel of the ride. I'm sure someone will disagree!

I won't be rushing out to swap my 2011 model for one.
The only real benefit I would gain would be greater tank range, which I don't need.

Try one. :)

The main changes are the switchgear, the indicator control is now all done with the left thumb - like other makes of bikes; the riding modes - Road and Enduro, which I couldn't tell a difference with and the bike is slightly wider and taller (and felt a lot heavier to push).

The bars are the same, I think. The screen is good, quite tall.
Other than that, it's just like riding an older model. Hope this helps? :)

Yes it does. looks like im going to see it tomorrow at the dealers. My 2012 going in for its second service in 3 months ( did a trip to nordcape so racked up miles).

I was just wondering about it. My bike could use handle bar risers, and i dont have the screen anymore because riding it naked is more comfortable.

Did they change the ergonomics? (like raise the handlebars?)

Also how is the screen?
