I retired as a Lt. from the NY State Dept of Corrections in 2010 after 38 years. Always could tell the mob guys. Most of them did their time well, followed the rules without complaining and showed respect to fellow inmates and staff. The couple I used to talk to on a regular basis and got to know a little were the kind of guys you'd want to grab a beer with. We had an old Italian priest who ran the chapel. He had so many of them working in the chaple with him we use to call the chaple Ozone Park. Lol.

As much as people want to say "look at his life" etc and judge him, we ALL work with the hand we are dealt. I joined the Army a month before my 21st birthday (45 now) to get myself away from situations that killed and imprisoned most of my friends. Some of the guys got really involved in terrible things. I still think of them as friends. I understand.
