I think they are gonna use mcbride off the ball when kemba or rose is out and quick at the point, but when they are healthy quick will play the back up 2 guard. So that's why I think they will have McBride off the ball more like a avery bradley. So him and grimes will battling for the 2nd/3rd string shooting guard position with quick going back and forth between back up two and back up point depending on who is out.

Yeah Thibs has his ways and I don't know how he's going to manage the lineups, but, knowing McBride's character, I can see him coming in to training camp and going all in. I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up giving Thibs something to think about. As far as his position, I think Deuce should be groomed as a point guard, he's has more poise and makes better decisions when it comes to running a offense than Quickly does. Plus, you can tell that McBride has a pretty high basketball IQ, both offensively and defensively. I really like Quickly, but, he better not sleep.

If Deuce can find his way through his rookie season on the defensive end as a stopper for smaller quicker guards like Trae Young & Freddie VanVleet etc it would help tremendously. Maybe in the roll we originally had in mind for Frank last season. I think his offense and decision making will be fine in the long term but if he and Grimes can come in and be dogs on defense it would make matchups against teams like the Hawks and Nets more competitive.

Yes on some nights he can give Kemba and D-Rose time to rest if he earns playing time and i think he can play the two spot as well regardless i think it's gonna be a great problem to have when trying to get him playing time but it's up to Deuce to produce.

He will be a pg off the bench but I think IQ comes in before him. If He's going good Deuce may see some DNP's early on in the season. However, he will play some in preseason games. Thibs is a vet guy and Deuce will have to stay ready. When someone's is out he'll get to play.

Thibs not playing any of the rookies this year unless Quick and/or Obi falter, there’s an injury, OR I can see him using Deuce for defense on a penetrating point guard

Also, if they need defense on the wing, he’d use Boston first

I do see the Eventual starting lineup for this team two years down the road includes Grimes, Deuce (point), RJ, JR and Mitch
